247: Week 1: Start of the Journey of Self Improvement

Welcome to my first blog post, where we’ll be exploring the ups, downs, triumphs, and challenges of a continuous journey of self-improvement. We will journey together through the complexities of balancing work, education, fitness, self-care, and even side hustles. I’m excited to share my experiences, lessons learned, and the inspiration behind this blog. So, grab a cup of coffee, settle in, and let’s embark on this journey together.

The Inspiration Behind this Blog

You might wonder, what sparked the idea for this blog? This blog emerged from my desire to chronicle my persistent pursuit of self-improvement. I’ve spent countless hours poring over self-help books, connecting with motivational speakers, and trying out diverse life hacks. But, somewhere along the line, it struck me – self-improvement isn’t a destination. It’s an unending journey. It’s about moving beyond the comfort zones, embracing growth, evolving, and relentlessly working towards becoming the best version of ourselves.

This blog, therefore, serves as a platform to share my personal experiences, learnings, triumphs, and insights. It’s a means to reach out to others who are either traversing the same path or are just setting their feet on it. The aim is not just to discuss my story but to create a community where we can inspire, motivate and learn from each other’s experiences!

Over the years, I’ve realized that the path to self-improvement isn’t about drastic changes. Instead, it’s about taking small, consistent steps towards a better version of yourself. So, come, join me on this journey, and together let’s explore the art of constant learning, growing and improving.

How to start?

Analyse your current situation? Where are you at the moment and where do you want to be?

I realised since completion of my studies and starting an full time job my personal growth curve graph startet to flatten.

Do not understand it wrong; of course, you can educate yourself through your work, and working itself leads to learning new things and developing yourself. Since starting to work fulltime I used my freetime to enjoy it by hanging out with family, friends, doing some sport and watching series. And I think there are a lot of people who feel like that, and there is nothing wrong with it. But I came to the realization that by investing some extra time in educating yourself further, starting a side hustle, and learning new skills, you can set a great foundation for your future life. You can start investing that extra time any day in your life, but especially in the early years of your life (I’m talking about your 20s and 30s), it is easier and benefits you more.

So, I started to search for ways to invest that extra time and improve myself day by day without giving up the things I enjoy, like hanging out with my friends, watching sports, and movies, etc. Do not misunderstand me; I do not encourage you to give up quality time with your family and friends or your hobbies. It is important that you enjoy your life. But I think everybody loses a lot of time through bad habits and things we do that are not beneficial for us or our surroundings. That unnecessary lost time could be used to set the foundation for a healthy, successful, and happy future.
